Shreya Khullar

Shreya Khullar is a student poet from Iowa City, Iowa. She attends West High School and is an editor for Polyphony Lit, an international student-run magazine. Her poetry is inspired by her heritage, upbringing, and her favorite writers, including Haruki Murakami and Emily Dickinson. Shreya’s work is published, or is forthcoming in, The Rising Phoenix Press, Polyphony Lit, Hypernova Lit and more. She has been recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and hopes to study English in the future. When she is not writing, Shreya can be found at the science fair, learning Bharatanatyam (a form of Indian classical dance), or curled up with her favorite books. In April 2021, she was sworn in as Iowa’s inaugural Student Poet Ambassador.
