Thank you, thank you, thank you! The Iowa City Book Festival was a fantastic event and we couldn't have done it without all of you.

We would to like to thank all the volunteers who gave us their time this weekend. Thanks to the booksellers, food vendors and musicians who created such a festive atmosphere in Gibson Square on Saturday. On Sunday, we had more than 50 programs at venues - thanks to all those businesses, churches, libraries and others who made this such a fun Day in the City of Literature.

And finally we would especially like to thank all of the authors who talked with us about books and writing. Whether it was listening to a poet read or talking with a mystery writer or watching children listen to their favorite authors or laughing with novelist at her description of writing, it was a wonderful time. Thank you everyone for sharing your fantastic energy. Now let's all go sit in the air-conditioning and drink a big, ice-cold glass of lemonade!
